Watch House is a psychological horror novel set in Southampton, Bermuda, following the Tucker family—Marie, Patrick, their children Andrew and Christine, and their dog Scrappy—as they move into a grand colonial home seeking a fresh start. The house, known locally for its troubled history and the infamous former resident Silas Blackwood, quickly reveals itself as more than just a charming old building. From their arrival, the family experiences subtle but persistent disturbances: creaking floorboards, unexplained chills, fleeting shadows, and objects moving or vanishing. These phenomena escalate, affecting each family member differently—Andrew and Christine become especially sensitive to the house’s uncanny presence, while Scrappy’s growing fear serves as a barometer for the supernatural activity. Ultimately, the Tuckers decide to escape, selling Watch House to new owners. However, the trauma of their experience lingers, leaving them forever changed.
